They didn't have sex before their confession, and Sukuna was the reason for it.

Before he met Reader, Sukuna only knew how to be someone's fuck-buddy or someone's one-night stand. Sex was sex, and it had nothing to do with love. But Sukuna felt that he wanted to have more with Reader, so he held back and made sure they just kissed and hugged and didn't do anything more than that. He didn't want to curse that delicate thing that was growing between them by having sex with Reader and watching everything slip through his fingers again and just end in a fuck-buddy situation with her 😭😭

After their confession, they still took things slow. And once they really had sex, it wasn't just sex, but making love 😭 It was so different from what Sukuna had been used to before. He didn't just want to use Reader's body to get off, and he knew that she also didn't just want to use his body. What they did was born out of the need to be as close to each other as possible. They looked into each other's eyes during it and kissed and held hands and murmured more love confessions against each other's skin.
